The Cambodian Equestrian Centre (CEC) was established in 2003 by the goodwill of five horse lovers, Cambodian and French, 30 years after the disappearance of equestrian sports from the Kingdom, in the torments of history. The equestrian club affiliated to the Cambodian Equestrian Federation (CEF) (cef.cambodia@yahoo.fr), supervised by sportive and recreational horseback riding professionals, puts on traditional activities of dressage and jumping, for all levels and all ages from 5 years old. Having about thirty horses and ponies grouped together in 2000m2 of functional stables, it is in a position to meet all requests in training, from the introduction to the competition.

Having a riding school, three arenas and a shady bridle path, it puts on, in the comfort of its clubhouse, frequently held events (show jumping, play days, western days, equestrian fancy-dress parties), as well as dinner-dance parties. A real green oasis, and large area of freedom enclosed by a reassuring fence, and having necessary services, the CEC is a pleasant place, in the open and tastefully illuminated, for private or public parties (open-air cinema…….)

As well as educational school trips to the countryside and training courses organized during the school holiday (taking care of the horses, lessons, swimming pool, plastic arts, games, horse-trekking and bivouac, night at the club), the CEC welcomes Cambodian underprivileged children, on the occasion of re-socialization and psychological rehabilitation plans. Supervised by their NGO, and by the professionals of the club, these children in this way take advantage of this real self-control and harmony with nature school. Like their elders who participated in the Clubs Worldwide Championship 2005, 2006 and 2007 within the national team, these children project a pleasant image of boldness, perseverance and elegance. The CEC would like to continue this effort for the poorest children, on the occasion of the "Horse-Future" project, for which all contributions will be welcome.
